Collaboration on a nappy bag

Finally, some more sewing has been done here. Not in the sewing room, it is far too humid in there if you are pregnant (not me!) and not yet tidy.
My friend asked me to make her nappy bag after searching high and low for one that expressed her personality. This will be her fourth child and she knows what she will use and so didn't want a bag that looks like nappy bag. Just a large enough bag with straps that are long enough to fit over her pram handles (36").
So we collaborated. She bought the fabric that appealed to her the most in Spotlight. It is a canvas and absolutely wonderful to work with. The lining is a backed curtain fabric in a co-ordinating plain. Then she drew the plan which scared me because now I knew that I couldn't just work out how to make it as I went along. In the end my dear friend came to my house and I sewed and cut but left the design aspects to her. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and came up with the best bag. It is so 'her'.
And it doesn't look bad on her hubby either!
