The Mamma of all Teapots.

I can't remember if I picked this up at a garage sale or else where but I do remember my heart going all a-flutter as soon as I saw this grand old dame.
She's a little the worse for wear, although much shinier in real life but she still has all the curves in the right places.
And very heavy like any good Mamma should be.
On another note, I thought I would share this link with you.

Colours in my washing machine.

Inspired by the  AWESOME library chick from Ballarat (she's after postcards from anywhere and everywhere so click on the link if you can help her) I have finally started saving fabrics for a rag rug.

I am intending to use the toothbrush method although my toothbrush may or may not actually be that. I love to invent so I'll investigate what suits me.

As you can see the colours favour pinks and blues. The blacks in there are a maxi picked out by a friend I bumped into at the oppy and an overseas destination inspired skirt from Lavender Blue that will either be worn by DD1 or cut up for a poster or cushion.

Have you found some happyfying bits and bobs lately?
Would you like to  join in with RicRac's slow rag rug-a-long?

Some beautiful places to visit.

Do you sometimes look for new bloggers to love by trawling through those long lists in people's profiles.
I did that today in a break between sleeping and bleaching the ceilings in preparation for the winters onslaught of mould.

Click on each picture to take a cruise around with me.

Have you meet Flylady ?

I hadn't until today either. Of course I have heard of her but not being a TV viewer I wasn't aware of her program for mentoring SHE's (Sidetracked Home Executives).
I think that is probably all of us to some extent or other. I am certainly not the worst home executive but I still generally suffer from CHAOS (Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome).
So today I met Flylady .
You should too.
She will start you off with polishing your sink and tying your shoe laces and continue by sending heaps of emails every day with baby steps and pep talks until you have mastered the routine of FLYing (Finally Loving Yourself).Yes there will be advertising spiel but you can easily delete that and stick with all the good stuff.
Apparently it normally takes 21 days to learn a habit but with Flylady it will take 28 days. I'm not sure on the after-that time but I think the encouragement continues in the form of monthly and weekly zone tackling.
It all sounds great and easy because she stresses baby steps. Just 15 minutes or even 3 lots of 5 minutes are all that is required for most things. That is the sort of help I need because sufferers of depression often find it hard to be motivated and that is what you get from a mentor. (Of course, if you are a rebel it is probably a waste of your time because you know you don't like being told what to do and so won't.)
I have already polished my sink. I'm just not sure about the shoes - I'm really a barefoot person - but she says they are totally important. Maybe thongs?!!

Amazing,must enter, giveaway !!!

See Katie Sew is having an amazing giveaway. She is going to fill a flat rate box with all it will hold. The only reason I am sharing this incredible thought with you, dear readers, is that I will get five extra chances for doing so. LOL

But really you must take a look because we can all do with the inspiration gained from someone elses choice of fabric. O, by the way her address is http://seekatiesew.blogspot.com/

I've also found another blog whose address is http://todreamtostitch.blogspot.com/ who makes inspirational textile work. Well worth the look!
