Back again

I'm back but not sure for how long. I won't be getting my camera fixed at this stage and will have to rely on the temperamental relationship between my daughter's camera and the computer. I have really missed putting my thoughts down on paper, so to speak, but I personally don't think a blog without pictures is much good (I am always looking for visual inspiration and stimulation) so have refrained from journalling. It's kind of funny because I hated writing at school yet now I enjoy putting my thoughts down.

Enough of that. Here are a couple of pieces I managed to photograph over the past few weeks.

This one is for Ethel Loves Fred who inspired this bag with her gorgeous creation at the beginning of July. I hadn't known what to do for a certain young lady but as soon as I saw this bag I was set. Thankyou Clare!

And this is for anyother little friend who needed a replacement bag that didn't show up the ink that seeps through the corners when you don't put lids on. Her new favourite colour is red but I decided to go with the lesson I learned as a Mum that dark colours are best for some kidlets. I also lined the lower half with vinyl. If you ever do that you will need to make the vinyl smaller by a seems width before sewing the seam as vinyl does not bend well and will leave you with great bulges if attached to the lining. Another lesson learned.

So that is it fer today.

I'll see ya round next time I can download!

  1. Gorgeous colours Cherrie! I'm so pleased you were inspired to breath new life into doilies, they are too good to have lying around in cupboards, and this way they get paraded around the shops!!

Thankyou for your kind thoughts. I appreciate and read everyone even though at times I may not be well enough to reply. Thankyou.
