Here we have a thrifted Millers size 14 shirt. In this photo I have already cut of a good inch from the sleeves and possibly a couple of inches around the hem. My intention at this stage was just to hem it in it's shortened version. Then, spurred on by memories of other peoples remodelling of clothes, I turned under the collar and central bands. I think looks a lot more modern and so much more un-Millerish don't you.
I will reveal the final product in a day or two.

You're definitely on the right track there! Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to the finished product too... great idea to turn in the collar - looks sleek.
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks like a different shirt. I have seen a few refashions with darts and hems but the collar thing is a great idea!! (also the green colour scheme in your rug post!!)
ReplyDeleteIt does look better. That's a great idea- I have some collared shirts like that and I don't like the look on me anymore. I'll file this one for future reference!
