Etsy or madeit ~ please advise!

This is my new busainess card. I've just ordered it from Vista. To use as a swing card I will cutoff my email address from the bottom.

I signed up for madeit yesterday because I like the idea of working with local currency.

But is this the best choice for sales ? Are there any thoughts about the new sewn site for selling or is it better to stay with a group that is already producing results.

Please help me with advice if you have dealt with any of these two sites, be it as a seller or as a buyer.

Thankyou!!

  1. I'm with Made It as I prefer to deal with local currency and not worry about exchange rates. I haven't heard of anyone using Sewn.

  2. diI've gone with etsy & love it...they take care of all the tough stuff. Love the new card! I've heard good and bad about vista, looks like your experiance was a success! Just found your blog

  3. Your card is adorable! I love the simplicity of it -- that alone just speaks volumes about who you are and what you do!

  4. It is a lovely card!
I've bought from Made It several times and been very happy with my purchases. Unfortunately I've also 'bought' from two sellers there who never made contact. So sad, you'd think they want sales.
I'd rather buy and eventually sell on Made It for the same reason as Curly Pops- rather deal in our currency, and also to support an Australian site.

  8. I have just signed up with made it as well & am trying to find time to take some good (better) pics of things to pop into the shop. I like the idea of local currency & local shoppers. I love your swing tag/bus card. Are you printing yourself? It looks so lovely & professional.

  9. I never even got around to checking out Made It while I was still living down there...so I have no opinion. :p

But I DO have an opinion on your swingtag...I think you should keep the addy on it when you use it as a swingtag...one of my favorite things to do, when I really like some indie craft item, is to look up their website or blog when I get it home and look at the tag. I think it's a good idea for you to further your impression on the consciousness of your customer. :)

Thankyou for your kind thoughts. I appreciate and read everyone even though at times I may not be well enough to reply. Thankyou.
