Gifts for a friend.

I have had to borrow this photo from my friend at dorothbills because the computer still refuses to be friends with the camera! I made these folders for her and her daughter. Originally I wanted to make a bag for her daughter but she is such a talented lady herself that I felt unequal to the task. So folders seemed a good idea as they are not something Eleesa has made as yet.

They are not really difficult but I still need to improve on the insides as they are a little loose in there. I could sew them up but want them to be washable.
Any thoughts as to how they could be fixed?

  5. I agree they are lovely, and a good idea that you have made them so they can be washed. Maybe insert some elastic or some boning (rigilene??? I'm not sure what the proper name is) which might provide a bit more stiffness but also flexibility when it comes time to remove them for washing.

  7. they are beautiful indeed. To close them I would sew two or three bands on every side, on top-in the middle and at the bottom, so you can close it with ribbons! Another possibility would be velcro tape (hope this is the right translation and I found the correct words and please excuse my lousy English)

  8. Very pretty and practical.
Another idea is some flat buttons with thread or ribbon loops.
