Depressed!

Here is my effort for the Loz and Dinny challenge.
Just an ordinary bag with a bit of fringing. and a brooch
and a grumpy old man purse.
Sooo not outside the square.
This sure has been a fun challenge, until today that is.
When I saw all the other brilliant ideas (Curly Pops !!) I wanted to crawl under a rock.
I think I need a block of chocolate :((
Boo hoo hoo.

  1. Hmmm. Time to choose some different thoughts there Cherie. Your bag is lovely (sweet fabrics and piecing), the brooch is gorgeous and your grumpy old man purse is hilarious (and original). Do not beat self up or I'll come up there and do it for you. If someone else has a good idea it doesn't make yours a bad one :.)

  2. Oh Cherie I hope you realise that your creations are absolutely fabulous!
The brooch is gorgeous and completely wearable (unlike my creation) and the grumpy man purse is hilarious.
    Love your work!

  3. The grumpy old man purse is funny indeed :) ...a bit freaky because the face is sort of recognisable & you don't expect that when you look at a purse.
    The brooch is snazzy...
... but my favourite by far is the bag. It has an endearing whimsical character, the fabrics each tell a story that now brought together start a new one together. I love the bits of ric rac & of course the Loz & Dinny trim.
You get an A+ from me!

  6. Hey, I'm with that commenting lot. Hold your head HIGH I say. Besides there isn't much, um, 'support' in the Super Pops' creation (she told me so!!!). Love that you have found another inanimate face in the grumpy man purse...

  9. No one sees themselves or their handy work for what it really is. It is the negative left hemisphere attacking the creative right hemisphere of your brain — ignore that voice.

Personally, I think your creations are cute as a button and are fab in their own right.
