My secret weapon

This weeks choice for My Place and Yours gave me reason to pause. What an open ended title - no clues! I need clues - my brain is too rusty. But then I realised there was a clue: "something that you know you can go to in a pinch and it will never let you down".

Aha! My trust rotary cutter. I've had this for about six years now and even loaned it to friends. With two mats you can use it to cut panels for curtains. If you've lost your quick unpick you can give faint slashes to cut through the first few stitches. There are the obvious uses as well but I have even used it for cutting around clothes patterns and for cutting circular things. Now I use the old blade when I need to cut the cardboard for my folders.

Where would I be with out this brilliant weapon? Watch out! Next thing you know I'll be cutting steak or pizza with it.

  1. Oh I love my rotary cutter, too. The spouse bought it for me for Christmas. When he went to pay for it the staff gave him 15 minute lecture on making sure no one accidentally cut of a finger with it. Happy slicing!

  10. Ah yes. I remember I nearly died with delight when I got my first Rotary cutter! Now I'm tearing throught the blades like there is no tomorrow! I have one for PVC and one for fabric... and it always seems to be within arm's reach! I totally relate to your secret weapon! Yep. Thanks for playing along again this week! xx
