Rummaging in the skip bin

One of the houses I called at yesterday was a deceased estate garage sale (that's where I found those coveted floral teatowels still in their original "Nile" packaging.). As I was leaving, I noticed a man on the third terrace down bending over the skip bin and rummaging around. Being an old chook, who is not easily shamed, I decided to join him. Here is what I found:
There were actually four of these frames (I'm not interested in the pictures) but I seem to have left one behind probably because I was using it as a lever to pull out a few deceivingly enticing pieces from the bottom. Never mind. I still think thes might be able to be used for a trytich perhaps or even to display vintage materials (maybe teatowels!) in.
It would seem that nothing is free because , as I was leaving, I fell over the brick work of the middle tier and skinned my leg!!
The lovely lady who came to my rescue said:' "pride comes before a fall" was turned around in this case to read "pride comes after the fall" because it can be very embarassing having to pick yourself up from the ground with an armload just salvaged from the bin and all the natives watching!!

  3. Here in my neck of the woods we call them dumpsters. But no matter what they are called, they are always fun to rummage in. Unfortunately, there aren't many good ones here and it's against the law if you don't have permission from the owner.
