Won't break the bank!

What a wonderful haul I had today and all for just $9.
It seems that an elderly lady gave up her crafting and the leftovers were sent to the opp shop. Perhaps she was going to make a crochet cotton tablecloth because there are tons of little circles and even tinier ones too. I'm thinking of a use for them but perhaps I had better say nothing until I have finished it because the project may end up shelved just like so many others that pass through my poor brain.

Can you see the prices on these? A mere ten cents for TWO doilies

and twenty cents for THREE!
This little smocking book that has definitely been used and includes hand written notes was just ten cents. I've got to say that I am extremely thankful that the ladies behind the counter do not know the proper worth of all of these.

If anyone is a mad keen smocker and would like this little number please make an offer covering postage and it will be yours. I just had to buy it to own it for a while but have no intention to take up this craft now or in the future.

  1. Lucky you! That is an absolute fantstic find. Yes, it is so nice when the people behind he counter don't realize what they have. I try to act nonchalant, but on the inside I'm doing flips while butterflies and rainbows explode around me. I do get upset though when they price things like thread and buttons at an outrageous price. Really now!
