The latest

I saw this at the oppy the other day but took a night to realise that I really wanted it.
A day of work and rain, another day for the memorial service, the weekend and now finally it is home.
It will probably take me a while to get the enrgy up to recover it and I am at a total loss about where I want to go with my base colour for decorating.
White would be nice.
Kids - even young adults.
Dogs.
Well maybe not white.
Looks like I'll just have to keep searching.

I'm totally in love with those arms!

  1. Those older style chairs have such nice timber frames don't you think? As for colours, as you have discovered Pinterest, I'm sure you will find lots of inspiration. Part of the pleasure of making something over is the planning and contemplating. Sit down with a nice cuppa and browse.
Take good care of yourself Cherrie,

  2. What a fabulous find! The arms are quite divine aren't they? I would be tempted to lightly sand and oil for a natural wood look. Do you like teal green or perhaps a vibrant blue?! Have fun deciding! xxx

  3. Thank goodness you went back. It is gorgeous.
I stood standing looking at one oh so similar in an antique shop the other day for $300!!!
My mister all but yanked me outta there.
    Looking forward to the transformation.

  4. I used to have two chairs similar to that but I had to part with them when I moved house as they would no longer fit.

  5. I have a similar scenario in my garage, picked up off the side of the road. Am frozen with indecision! White would have been so nice!
